SCULPTURE WORKSHOP
A two-part workshop across two consecutive Sundays covering the core techniques of handbuilt sculpture: coiling, slabs, building solid and carving out, and approaches to surface and texture. Demonstrations and guided studio time are paired with prompts and individual feedback, so you leave with both new methods and a clearer sense of what you want to make. No experience necessary — all levels welcome.

MEET JILL
Jill Bell is a Brooklyn-based ceramic artist whose figurative sculptures and narrative objects explore the space between humor and vulnerability, capturing characters in moments that are both absurd and deeply human. Alongside her sculptural practice, she creates functional ceramics that bring a sense of presence, storytelling, and play into everyday use.
Bell received a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a longtime member of Clayworks on Columbia in Brooklyn and is the founder and co-organizer of the Brooklyn Ceramic Arts Tour (BCAT), a borough-wide annual celebration of ceramic arts that connects artists, studios, and the public through exhibitions, demonstrations, and community events.
